Carlos Juan Delgado (born June 25, 1972 in Aguadilla, Puerto Rico) is a Major League Baseball player with the Toronto Blue Jays. Originally a catcher, Delgado became a first baseman and rapidly became one of the most dangerous sluggers in the major leagues. A two-time All Star, Delgado holds a wide variety of Blue Jays single season and career records.
On September 25, 2003, in a game against Tampa Bay, Delgado became the only the fifth American League player and 15th major league player to hit four home runs in one single game. He hit a three-run homer in the 1st inning, then led off the fourth, sixth and eighth innings, with three solo shots.
Delgado has been criticised for his anti-war stance .
