Dojin game (同人ゲ−ム) in Japan is an informal term for computer games created by non-professionals, mostly for fun but sometimes for profit. The term is related to dojinshi, which describes similarly non-official comics. In the past, Dojin games were considered to have nudity, violence or something very unusual; but nowadays some Dojin games are well-designed, and become very popular in Japan(and surrounding areas, such as China, Hong Kong and Taiwan), for example, the famous action game Ragnarok Battle Online designed by , and the vertical shooting game design by . Some famous Dojin game design groups even become commercial companies, such as Type-MOON, which designed Tsukihime.
