Meidling is the 12th district of Vienna in the South-Western part of the city. The "Meidlinger L" is a specialty of the German dialect spoken in Vienna. It refers to the letter "l" spoken as "dl" (as in Meidling, hence the name) in some variants of the Viennese dialect.
